Holiday Bling Blog Hop Reveal

Two of the coolest women ever decided to host this event, Shelley Graham Turner of Fabric of My Life and Marlene Cupo of Amazing Designs, to try and get us in the Holiday Spirit!  The object was to exchange something that we made with a partner that reminds you of the Holidays.  My partner was Dyanne Cantrell of Dee-Liteful Jewelry Creations.  Dyanne does some amazing work so make sure you check out her page!

One of my favorite designers is Cristie Prince of Glassy Jewels.  She recently had a design published in a special edition of Beadwork and as soon as I saw it I just knew I had to make it.  So off to her website I went and purchased her kit for her "Princess Kate Bracelet".  I went with the silver color scheme because it reminds me so much of the sparkling lights of the season and sparkling melting ice.  We do not get much snow here in Mississippi, but every so often we have some pretty severe Ice Storms.  I just loved this bracelet, it is so pretty and sparkling!  So without further ado...

Now to show you what Dyanne sent me!  She must have seen on facebook or maybe on another blog that I just love bells.  The bracelet she sent me is full of tinkle!  It reminds me so much of  "It's a Wonderful Life", where the child says, "Every time a bell rings an angel gets it wings."

She totally nailed me with this one.  I love Christmas!    Here is her beautiful bracelet...

Growing up we really did not celebrate or decorate for Christmas so now that I am an adult in my own household I tend to go overboard.  And there is no telling how much time she spent putting each bell and light on, one by one.  I just love it!  Thank you so much Dyanne!

Be sure to check out what the other participants exchanged with each other!

  1. I am all about bracelets so of course I love both of these. What a great kick start to the holidays.

  2. I love that your combined bracelets represent the clear sparkle of crystals and the fun of colourful Christmas lights.

  3. Hi Marla,
I love the bracelet you did for Dyanne and the one that she did for you, both are gorgeous! I can just pictrue you shaking your wrist just to hear it tinkle!

  4. Oh my goodness, Marla, you and Dyanne are seriously talented ladies! That "Ice Princess" bracelet is so beautifully sparkly (sorry, I renamed it, my comment, my prerogative LOL). The "Christmas Lights" bracelet is so fun and cheerful I would want to wear it all year. That is a cute little snowman in there, too!

  5. I love love both of these. I want one of each. I'm such a sucker for holiday bracelets. Can't get enough.

  6. another one of your cute little chairs :) I think there should be a 'Marla's Mini's' hop! :D

I love your design - so sparkly and blingy! very pretty, and the one you got is awesome! That is some holiday cheer! enjoy!

  7. I totally love the bracelet you chose to make for her. What an elegant piece!
And her gift to you is soo much fun! I would be laughing all the time, wearing it!

  8. Wow, beautifully done in both cases! What a wonderful contrast your two bracelets make; both seasonal, both completely different. Would love to know where you found the pattern for your bracelet!

  9. Both bracelets are amazing, I love the elegance of yours, and the tiny Christmas lights on hers. Amazing pair of holiday lovelies!

  10. You said, "without further ado"...well if ANY bracelet ever deserved further ado, this one adoes! GORGEOUS and you KNOW I want it!! It is amazingly beautiful. Diamonds and ice!

I really love the bracelet Dyanne made you (and want one of those also! hahaha GREEDO!) it is colorful and cheerful just like you Marla!

    XXOO Shelley

  11. I already left a comment but was doing so on my phone and couldn't really see these as well as I wanted to. I'm on my way around twice. That bracelet you sent is seriously gorgeous. I want one too. I need more info on that one. I also have a thing for Christmas charm bracelets and Christmas lights. Need to find me some of those lights. I have a necklace with lights like this on it - need a bracelet. Wasn't this a fun swap!!

  12. Oh, I would love to have a bracelet like that! Both of your bracelets are to die for, love them A LOT! Gina

  13. Fantastic bracelets ... those little light beads/charms are amazing =)

  14. Now when we talk about cool, in Mississippi or any where, that has to include you! I know this has been a super busy time for you, and to still get such a GOREGOUS goodie done for your partner. Wow! Your gift is soooo much fun. I know you won't be giving it up, but just 'cause Shelley asked first, I think it would look much better on this wrist, right here! Thank you for being in our HBBH!

  15. Marla, that bracelet you sent Dyanne is unbelievably beautiful! I am in awe of it. And I love what she sent you. So festive and fun!

  16. Gosh, Marla - I don't know which bracelet I like better! The one you made is SO classically beautiful - I'd want to wear it all the time. But the one you received is such FUN, too! Love the riot of color!

  17. I love the bracelet she sent you.. How festive...

  18. Love the sparkly bracelet you made, but that colorful Christmas light bracelet has my name written all over it! Just my style - colorful and dangly! Neat swap!

  19. I Love my Princess Kate bracelet! Wow! I think of snowflakes when I wear it - which is every day! So pretty! I'm glad you like your bracelet! Those beads were acquired from an individual who was selling off all their beads due to health problems. I must find MORE of them!

  20. I apologize for commenting today — I had sudden, unusual 1st shift grandma childcare for my 2 and 3 year old granddaughters, followed by my usual 2nd shift childcare for my 11 year old grandson yesterday.

I'm Christmas crazy, and love going overboard! I also have a reference to "It's a Wonderful Life" ;) Love love love the jingle bell bracelet! It's adorable -- and such impressive wire art and love went into it. You must be delighted, Marla :)

The bracelet you created --"Princess Kate Bracelet" -- is gorgeous! I'll have to find the issue of Beadwork. It's amazing, and is sparkling and beautiful just like an ice storm under the full moon of a winter's night.

    Happy Holidays,

  21. Both of those bracelets are gorgeous. And I just love the tiny Christmas lights.

  22. LOVE the Lights bracelet! How festive! And that sparkly bracelet is SO classy and elegant! It screams Little Black Dress under the mistletoe! :)

  23. OMG - both bracelets are gorgeous, each in its own personal way. The one you made is elegant and full of sparkle; the one you were gifted with is so cheerful and happy and it screams 'Christmas!!!!!' out loud.

  24. Absolutely gorgeous tennis bracelet!
